*Desktop Support Technician - Field Services Team*
TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for one of our clients based out of Louisville, KY. This role involves approximately 60% deskside support and 40% ticket management, including hardware orders and follow-ups on unresolved requests. Technicians can expect to handle 5-10 tickets per day within a structured ticketing system. The position requires supporting various locations within multiple counties, with a primary focus on one central area. Travel is required, and transportation options are available. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining desktops, laptops, tablets, software, copiers, printers, and various phone systems (VoIP, mobile, analog). Additionally, the technician may assist with servers, routers, and network switches as needed. *Qualifications* Candidates should possess: * Strong customer service and communication skills * Experience in computer equipment configuration, setup, and installation * Familiarity with ticketing systems and troubleshooting processes * Ability to work effectively under pressure * Hands-on expertise with hardware and software solutions *Skills* Key technical skills include: * Windows operating systems * Desktop support and help desk troubleshooting * Hardware installation and imaging * Software support and deployment * Network connectivity and basic server support * Service desk and application assistance *Additional Qualifications* Successful candidates should demonstrate a customer-focused attitude, teamwork, and a willingness to seek assistance when needed. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Candidates with IT-related education or certifications will be considered, provided they have strong interpersonal skills. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
