Responsibilities

Are you ready to unleash your creativity and make a meaningful impact? We're on the lookout for a vibrant and enthusiastic Art Therapist to join our dynamic team under the guidance of our Clinical Director. In this role, you'll craft and deliver a therapeutic program that transforms art into a powerful tool for self-expression and healing. Get ready to inspire, engage, and create unforgettable experiences for our residents!

Your Artistic Mission:

Craft a Masterpiece: Design and roll out a fun and engaging 12-week therapeutic curriculum featuring all things art! From painting and drawing to sculpting and writing, you'll help residents explore their creative sides.

Adapt and Overcome: Tune into the vibes of our therapeutic environment! Assess the needs of our residents and tweak your interventions to ensure everyone gets the most out of their artistic journey.

Team Up for Success: Collaborate with an amazing treatment team to brainstorm and implement interventions that will help our residents shine and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Plan the Fun: Work hand-in-hand with the Program Director and Clinical Director to schedule exciting group therapy sessions, activities, and events that spark joy and creativity.

Showcase the Talent: Organize fabulous art showcases to display the incredible artwork created by our residents. Let's celebrate their creativity together!

Field Trip Fun: Plan thrilling field trips for our Phase III residents to explore museums and public art displays. Who says therapy can't be an adventure?

Track the Journey: Keep an eye on client reactions and progress, sharing insights with the treatment team to ensure everyone is on the path to success.

Documentation Rockstar: Complete clinical documentation (assessments, progress notes, and group notes) with flair and timeliness.

Grow and Learn: Join us for weekly clinical supervision and participate in exciting training sessions to keep your skills sharp and your creativity flowing!


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field required from an accredited or state approved graduate school. Doctorate degree preferred
  • Licensed Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work is preferred in the state in which you are applying.
  • Board certification in art therapy strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 1 years' experience working with individuals and group with young adults
  • Training or experience in trauma-informed treatment preferred.

Compensation for this role ranges from $38.62-$53.10 per hour depending on education and experience.
