  • Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

  • As a Student Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will evaluate and provide care for patients suffering from respiratory insufficiencies, in alignment with your student scope of practice.
  • You will be responsible for assessing, implementing, evaluating, and documenting respiratory care following HMC standards and under the guidance of the department Manager, ensuring the delivery of high-quality respiratory care.
  • The Student Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate respiratory care to patients in the assigned unit.
  • This individual is responsible for the administration of oxygen, various treatment modalities, and ventilator management.
  • He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practice Act.
  • Must be able to demonstrate awareness and appropriateness in the care of patient's at end of life.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in and attending an accredited Respiratory Therapy program in Oklahoma
  • Must be eligible for a provisional RCP Student license
