Auria is seeking a Cross-Functional UI/UX & Frontend Developer to support the Enterprise Management & Control (EM&C) system, a mission-critical program supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Enterprise. In this role, you will drive the user-centered design process from concept through development, collaborating closely with frontend engineers, system engineers, and end users to ensure intuitive and mission-optimized user experiences. The primary work location is in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Essential Functions:
- Contribute to the user-centered design process for secure, web-based applications.
- Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing to validate designs.
- Create wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and polished UI deliverables using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- Translate design concepts into responsive, accessible Angular components using TypeScript, HTML5, and SCSS/CSS3.
- Collaborate with system engineers, developers, and testers to ensure consistent and functional implementation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, demos, and design reviews.
- Assist in frontend testing, debugging, and integration with RESTful APIs.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
- Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, including a portfolio of complete design-to-implementation projects.
- Experience developing frontend interfaces in Angular.
- Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or Sketch.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility best practices.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional Agile teams.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git), task management tools (e.g., Jira), and documentation platforms (e.g., Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Angular Material, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with responsive design frameworks such as Angular Material, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with SATCOM, C2ISR, or similar DoD programs.
- Security+ certification or equivalent DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- Exposure to DevSecOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting user design reviews, demos, and usability audits.
Pay Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($94,000 - $115,000).
