What You Will Do:

Our Industrial Refrigeration Automation Engineering group has an immediate opening for a full-time, direct hire, computer science or mechanical engineer. In this role, you will provide software support for various product configurators and workflow enhancements. Additional responsibilities include updating design standards, training support, cost analysis, and automation improvements. Working together we will work across department lines to identify areas of engineering improvements, support innovative ideas, and generate solutions based on cost, schedule, and technical merit. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

How You Will Do It:

You will be working among a team of specialists who automate engineering tasks through the creation and maintenance of software and home-grown configurators. You will use commercially available CAD and engineering software along with proprietary in-house engineering configuration tools to plan and develop tools to streamline workflows. You will prepare the engineering release of these tools for testing and feedback, incorporate any changes, and maintain the tools after release. This will require an understanding of mechanical engineering and the ability to code. This role supports existing product lines and new product development. We will provide support and training for you to be successful in this role.

What We Look For:

Required

  • Bachelors (BS) degree in Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of applicable experience.

  • Fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel, TEAMS, and Outlook or similar.

  • Fluent with VBA, VB.net, C#, or similar.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Mechanically inclined and ability to visualize how programs work together.

Preferred:

  • Experience with thermodynamics and the refrigeration cycle.

  • Experience creating 3D CAD models and 2D Drawings using Inventor, Creo, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, Bentley AutoPlant or similar.

  • Desire to work on an international team.

  • Python programing language.

  • ASP.NET, Azure, Git, NoSQL and SQL databases.

  • Microsoft Access.

  • Programming/Automation experience (e.g., Excel VBA, VB.net, C#, Access, or similar)
