SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Technical Lead Architect to drive the technical implementation of data solutions while ensuring adherence to architectural best practices. This role emphasizes hands-on technical execution, mentoring, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality data solutions. This role also requires deep expertise in data management, cloud platforms, and data governance, ensuring scalable, secured and high-performance data solutions. The ideal candidate will lead technical teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and establish intelligence, analytics, and data-driven decision making
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Lead the design and implementation of data solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to architectural best practices.
- Provide hands-on technical execution, including coding, testing, and deployment of data solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of data solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data strategies, architectures, and roadmaps.
- Mentor data engineers and architects, fostering technical excellence.
- Ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, efficient and maintainable.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into data solutions as appropriate.
- Evaluate and recommend data technologies, tools, and platforms, including cloud-based solutions.
- Drive adoption of modern data architecture patterns (e.g., data lakes, lake house, data mesh, data fabric)
- Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, ensuring security and regulatory requirements.
- Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
- Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
- Identifies and reports suspicious activity.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises function, projects or services and/or one or more employees, as applicable.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance coaching; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Technical Lead, or similar role
- Strong expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration
- Experience with cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (eg, Hadoop, Spark)
- Experience with data governance and data quality management preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Certification in cloud platforms or data-related technologies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and Java.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
