Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

Essential Functions
-Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
-Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
-Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
-Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
-Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
-Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Infusion RN is to provide clinical care with a primary focus on medical infusion.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities: - Provides safe, efficient and compassionate patient care to all medical infusion patients - Develop an ongoing implementation of therapy plan, education and counseling of patients and loved ones - Practice according to ANA and INS standards of care - Attends and participates in team meetings - Documents relevant patient information and current plan in EMR - Performs a nursing assessment and formulates an individual plan of care for assigned patients - Prioritize and initiate specific nursing interventions based on ongoing assessment and update the care plan as needed - Performs technical skills (i.e. VAD access, venipuncture) accurately, per policy - Participates and collaborates with nursing colleagues and other providers to deliver patient care in a timely manner
