Position Purpose: To coordinate the activities involved with maintaining a tool inventory, along with the timely filling and shipping of tool stock orders to job sites. Essential Responsibilities * Fill stock orders by selecting and pulling the proper tools from inventory. Assure that field operations receive all tools needed in a timely matter * Arrange shipping of stock orders to job sites over the phone and on-line * Work with PM's / GF's to demobilize tools at the end of a project * Perform physical inventory of tools coming into warehouse. Make transfer of tools on and off projects within the MJE System * Make sure tools in warehouse are organized and well maintained * Effectively communicate and train MJE personnel regarding Tool Control policies, procedures, systems, processes and operating procedures * Maintain effective communications with Tool Control in Iron Mountain; coordinate tool transfers, scraping tools, obsolete tools, tool repair, etc * Perform warehouse work such as unloading and loading trucks, stocking shelves, operating a forklift and maintaining inventories * Perform minor tool repairs * Deliver materials and tools to job sites as well as other daily errand runs Knowledge | Skills | Abilities * Ability to communicate effectively, show initiative, and fit into a team environment * Thorough knowledge of electrical contractor tools * A basic understanding of inventory management concepts * Excellent computer skills including a familiarity Microsoft Office, Outlook and JD Edwards * Proven organizational skills with the ability work independently and meet deadlines * Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs * Demonstrated multi-tasking and data entry skills Qualifications * High School diploma. Education beyond High School would be preferred * 1-3 years of warehouse and or inventory management * Must possess a valid class A Commercial Drive License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one. Work Environment * Must be able to remain standing approximately 75% of the time * Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, reaching * The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations * Occasionally lifting 40 pounds |
