Celebrating a Century: https://100.scripps.edu/ POSITION TITLE: Staff Scientist POSITION SUMMARY: Will conduct research to investigate the mechanisms of DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair in mammalian cells. The projects will employ multidisciplinary approaches, combining EGFP-based reporter systems, cell-based assays, and state-of-the-art technologies in genome-wide analysis and library screening to elucidate the fundamental principles of DNA repair processes. The candidate will develop new genome-wide approaches to facilitate the study of chromosomal rearrangements, which are frequently observed in cancer genomes. We are looking for a highly motivated, creative and hard-working individual with expertise in genome-wide study. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position works in an office environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process. LOCATION: La Jolla, California COMPENSATION: The expected hiring range for this position is $78,000 to $109,200 per year, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
