Sr./Lead Java FSE (Onsite)

We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Java, Spring boot, AWS, and JUnit. This role encompasses leadership responsibilities, including different planning strategies. By ensuring robust and efficient system operations, the candidate will play a key role in advancing our company's mission.

Location: McLean, VA - USA (Onsite)

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Responsibilities
  • Migrate legacy j2ee application to Spring boot AWS / Cloud.
  • Inspect the legacy code and create a corresponding Spring boot/Microservice code.
  • Work as lead developer to help junior team members.
  • Participate in the agile ceremonies, daily stand up, sprint planning, etc.
  • Work alongside the Architect and PM to review any customer concern / technical support needs.
  • Work with the customer leads and product owners to understand the business requirements.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree or an equivalent 8+ years of experience with hands on development experience.
  • Strong knowledge on Java, Springboot/Micorservices, AWS, Junit, Cucumber, RDBMS
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Should possess strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Should be able to work in an onsite model with day shifts.
Salary and compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,441k - $141,500K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
