About Rivendell:

Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital is a 125 inpatient, Joint Commission accredited hospital. We are located on a 48 acre private campus in the heart of Bowling Green, KY. At Rivendell Behavioral Health Hospital, children who are in crisis receive psychiatric care. Teens suffering from depression, disabling anxiety, feelings of hopelessness or suicide can learn new ways to cope. Teens and adults suffering from chemical dependency and substance abuse can get help.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for tracking of all inquiry calls, verifying insurance benefits, review and complete admission paperwork with families, enter calls into Midas, create patient labels for patient's medical record, and other clerical duties associated with admissions and referral.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Accepting inquiry calls and scheduling assessments.
2. Scheduling and coordinating admissions with psychiatrists and nursing staff, and completion of all admission paperwork.
3. Coordination and follow-up of all after hour calls and admits.
4. Completing precertification information and forwarding to appropriate agencies, in conjunction with Business Office and Case Management.
5. Communication with referral sources to inform them of client disposition.
6. Any other duties assigned by supervisory or administrative personnel.
7. Will adhere to all safety policies and safe work practice.
8. Log referral calls and admissions into Midas.
9. Will attend hospital safety trainings.
10. Will adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
11. Will report all accidents immediately.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A minimum of a B.A. in the Human Services and/or mental health field.
Training and Experience: One year experience in mental health setting and/or training in admissions and referral.
Knowledge required: Knowledge of assessment and crisis intervention, telephone and communication skills. Moderate computer systems and software proficiency, demonstrated knowledge of day-to-day clerical and hospital procedures. Ability to maintain confidential information is required.
