Knowledge Management - Software Engineer Auria is seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Administrator and Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain SharePoint-based Content Management Systems (CMS) that enhance enterprise-wide collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and workflow automation. This role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and optimized solutions that streamline business processes while adhering to best practices in SharePoint administration and development. Work location is on-site at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO. Position Description In close collaboration with Government customers and users, the SharePoint Administrator will perform full-cycle software engineering activities, including:
- Requirement gathering, concept development, system design, coding, testing, government acceptance, integration, documentation, deployment, operation, and maintenance of SharePoint 2016, 2019, and Online applications within an enterprise environment.
- Security-hardening implementation, performance optimization, development of SharePoint templates, custom web parts, document sets, and automated workflows for improved business operations.
- Portal branding, modern UI design, graphics, page layout enhancements, and training users on SharePoint customization, content management, and governance.
- Web portal management, supporting technology enhancements, graphic support, responsive web design principles, testing, mobile accessibility improvements, technology recommendations, cloud-based SharePoint integrations, and website maintenance.
Essential Duties
- Develop and administer SharePoint solutions using SharePoint 2016, 2019, and Online, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, HTML, CSS etc.
- Configure and manage SharePoint sites, lists, document libraries, metadata structures, and site collection architecture.
- Automate workflows using native SharePoint capabilities, Power Platform tools, and customized SharePoint Designer applications.
- Administer SharePoint permissions, security policies, authentication models, and ensure compliance with DoD security standards.
- Implement and maintain governance policies, ensuring best practices for SharePoint utilization and user adoption.
- Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, including Teams, OneDrive, Power BI, and Outlook.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to SharePoint environments, ensuring optimal performance.
- Provide end-user support, conduct training sessions, and create user guides to enhance adoption across enterprise users.
- Lead migration projects for transitioning SharePoint sites to newer versions or cloud-based solutions.
- Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), updating quarterly or as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience managing SharePoint site collections, permissions, and security policies.
- Proven ability to develop, configure, and administer SharePoint environments, including custom web parts, workflows, and integrations.
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, plus 2+ years of experience; OR 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills to identify solutions for optimizing CMS effectiveness.
- Ability to independently produce technical documentation, including system workflows, security procedures, troubleshooting guides, and deployment instructions.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Certifications
- CompTIA Security+ (Required).
- Microsoft SharePoint Certification (Preferred).
- Microsoft Power Platform Certification (Preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DoD IT systems and software environments.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Governance and Compliance standards.
- Proficiency in SharePoint Designer and Power Automate for workflow creation, automation, and optimization, ensuring streamlined business processes and improved operational efficiency.
- Understanding of Azure cloud services, Active Directory, and hybrid SharePoint deployments.
Salary: The proposed salary range for this role is $93K - $136K depending on experience and other factors.
