Description
Responsible for selling Treasury solutions to small businesses, primarily via phone and email. The Treasury Management Business Banking Sales Officer provides the integrated delivery of products and services to a set of clients in the given market. Cross selling is essential. Partnering closely with primarily branch associates within the market and external sources to consult on sales opportunities is critical to the success of the team. Performs other projects and duties as assigned. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities: * Establishes market strategies, and handles business development and pricing proposals for clients to earn given opportunities. * Schedules and completes calling activities (mostly by phone or email) with prospective and existing clients within the given markets to provide advisory services, product information and routine follow up. * Collaborates with key stakeholders to set expectations on pricing, product implementation and proposals to enhance sales activities. * Maintains partnerships and alignment with product providers and negotiates key terms within the contracts for given prospects and existing clients. * Responds to proposals and other complex solutions will be transferred to the RTSO to handle. * Identifies key revenue growth opportunities for current clients and potential clients. * Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions, as well as ability to leverage information in creating customized client solutions. * Knowledgeable of Treasury products and effectively influence obtaining agreement with recommendations. * Practices ethical sales behaviors in accordance with Ameris' core values of Integrity and Honesty; always acts in the best interest of the customer when offering additional products and services. Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: * Excellent sales skills. * Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. * Strong problem-solving, negotiation and follow-up skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Intermediate PC and Microsoft Office suite proficiency. * Able to analyze the critical and interdependencies among system elements that impact products and performance. Industry and Work Experience: * 3-5 years of experience within financial services and/or Treasury experience required. * 3-5 years of product knowledge, sales processes, and client interaction required. Academic: * High school diploma or GED required. * Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred. * Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification preferred.
