Prevailing Wage Accountant SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Prevailing Wage Accountant that will be responsible for providing support in ensuring accurate and timely completion of Prevailing Wage reporting and processing for multiple construction projects. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review construction contract requirements and attend project kickoff meetings
- Ensure timely weekly reporting and log payment shortfalls
- Support third-party monitoring as needed
- Review project settings in LCPtracker for accuracy
- Verify wage determination data in LCPtracker
- Load payroll information into LCPtracker and review for accuracy
- Resolve discrepancies with project teams and payroll
- Raise awareness of financial implications of discrepancies
- Generate weekly payroll and apprentice reports for customer billing
- Respond to general questions on prevailing wage and LCPtracker processes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction accounting
- Experience with prevailing wage and LCP Tracker preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with ERP accounting systems
- Strong working knowledge of basic office equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High degree of accuracy in following processes and implementing improvements
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and leadership across projects
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Open to feedback and capable of adapting based on diverse input
- Effective at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Strong active listening and communication skills, especially in diverse teams

The base pay range for this role is $71,400 - $107,100. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
