Part-Time Japanese Bilingual Assistant
Location: Torrance, CA (Onsite)
Work Hours: Part-time (4-5 hours per day, Monday to Friday), Occasional overtime may be required. Flexible schedules considered within 12-29 hours per week, not exceeding 30 hours.
Summary:
The Administrative Assistant role helps the operation by supporting communications with the company and clients as well as providing administrative support. Strong communication skills in Japanese are essential, as you will be mainly interacting with internal and external stakeholders in Japanese.
Responsibilities:
Client Communication (Primarily in Japanese):

Serve as a key point of contact for Japanese-speaking clients, addressing inquiries, providing information, and ensuring a high level of service via phone, email, and occasional in-person interactions.
External Partner Communication (In English):
*
Communicate with external service providers regarding logistical arrangements, service requests, and other operational needs in English.
Service Coordination:
*
Assist in the coordination and scheduling of various service-related activities with external partners.
Document Review:
*
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, and assist with basic processing tasks.
Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support, including but not limited to:
*
Maintaining organized records and documentation.
*
Preparing correspondence and basic reports.
*
Scheduling appointments and meetings.
*
Basic data entry and information management.
Site Support: Conduct occasional visits to various engagement locations to perform checks and ensure standards are met.
Other Tasks: Assist the Operations Manager with other related tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Language Proficiency:
*
Japanese: Business-level proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is essential. This includes the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with Japanese-speaking individuals on a variety of service-related matters.
*
English: Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English for communication with external partners and internal team members.
Administrative Skills:
*
Basic administrative skills, including organization, time management, attention to detail, and proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., email, word processing).
Communication Skills:
*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
Interpersonal Skills:
*
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and external partners.
Experience:

Previous experience in a client-facing or administrative support role is a plus, but not required. The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
