VP Corporate Functions & Commercial Finance

The Vice President, Corporate Functions & Commercial Finance will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, results analysis, business case development, and providing decision support to senior management for Corporate Departments, Shared Services and supporting the Chief Commercial Officer including finance support for Enterprise Client Group and Sales Enablement.

What the day will look like

Financial Planning and Analysis:

    • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as the strategic plan development
    • Analyze financial results and provide insights to senior management
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making

Business Case Development:

    • Collaborate with business units to develop robust business cases for new initiatives and investments
    • Evaluate the financial impact of proposed projects and provide recommendations
    • Ensure alignment of business cases with strategic objectives and financial goals

Decision Support:

    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
    • Partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
    • Prepare and present financial analysis and presentations to executive management

Commercial Finance Support:

    • Support the development and implementation of Enterprise Client Group strategies, including adoption of learnings across the broader organization
    • Continue to refine data availability and deliver business insights that enhance our ability to drive outsized growth
    • Work with sales enablement team to derive financial insights can help enhance our leading indicators and better forecast revenue across the regions and solution lines
    • Optimize sales effort towards the highest profitability and quickest financial returns
    • Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform improved commercial planning

Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, business case development, and decision support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
  • Ability to lead a team and achieve top tier employee engagement results
  • Experience in a complex matrix organization

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $225,000 to $275,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in Aon's annual incentive plans in addition to base salary. The amount of any incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
