POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform a variety of duties required to cut fiberglass and surface material to specific size, to mix product resins and components, following prescribed policy and procedures, and ensure the most efficient use of materials is realized and remnants are as little as possible.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtain required raw materials necessary for the work at hand. Move to staging area using material moving equipment.
  • Using prescribed work order, cut mat and surface material to desired size and in efficient amounts to meet required demand of production line.
  • Keep slitter cutter blades sharpened at all times.
  • Mix the resin, inhibitors, and pigments in sufficient quantity to satisfy production requirements.
  • Monitor line operations to ascertain usage of materials and replenish mat materials in time to avoid any possible interruption of production.
  • Conduct and record repetitive product quality testing of resin (viscosity and reactivity), and mat (thickness and strength) to assure continuous adherence to acceptable standards.
  • Record production information, scrap, material transfers, and other required reports on computerized equipment.
  • Detect and report defective materials, improper equipment operation, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
  • Generate and handle RCRA hazardous wastes.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment to ensure a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed or standard safety regulations.
  • Perform other associated or related duties as assigned or directed.
  • Assist with inventory.
  • Assist with breaks on pultrusion lines.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to work overtime
  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Must be able to understand charts and schedules, and how to use scales, gauges, calipers, tape measures, graduated measuring cylinders, computers, calculators, laser measuring equipment, hand and portable power tools.
COMPENSATION:
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $23.10/hr-$27.36/hr.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
