Position Overview:

The Pricing Analyst plays a critical role in our organization by providing detailed analysis and strategic insights into pricing strategies and contract cost ratios. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data analysis, and a solid understanding of market dynamics. The Pricing Analyst will collaborate with various team members to ensure that pricing decisions are aligned with our company's financial goals and client requirements, leading to improved profit margins. The Pricing Analyst is vital to driving profitability and enhancing our competitive position. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about data analysis and strategic thinking in a dynamic environment.

This is a remote position on our finance team. Preference for the Pacific or Mountain time zones a plus. Consideration will also be given to those in the Central and Eastern time zones as well. The range is 85K-97K salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Analyze contract cost ratios and pricing trends for products and services across various industries.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to support decision-making processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate pricing strategies and insights to stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive actions to inform pricing strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and marketing, to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to internal and external stakeholders assist in the development and implementation of pricing strategies that optimize profit margins and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and revise pricing policies and procedures to ensure they are effective and compliant with industry standard.
  • Contract analysis reviewing and analyzing existing contracts to identify opportunities for cost savings and pricing improvements.
  • Ensure that contract terms are competitive and aligned with market conditions.
  • Performance monitoring tracking and assessing the effectiveness of pricing strategies and make recommendations for adjustments, as necessary.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate pricing performance and profitability.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited organization required, a focus in finance, economics, business administration, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree a plus.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a Pricing Analyst or in a similar analytical role across various industries.
  • Experience working as a pricing analyst for consulting firms, or contract pharmaceutical organizations a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, or Python), Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiarity with pricing strategies, contract management, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexibly across multiple time zones as needed
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
