The Director, Imaging Services is responsible for leading the Enterprise Imaging Services team, providing supervision, technical direction and assistance to produce high quality and effective technology solutions. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday with flexible corporate hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (50%) Image Services Management
- Responsible for management of all Imaging Services operations, and ensures the resolution of all critical issues, while holding vendors accountable for meeting policies and service level agreement requirements
- Actively pursue and identify strategic opportunities and assist in executing the strategic vision and objectives of the organization.
- Interface between information technology, engineering, radiologic technologists, and radiologists to ensure smooth functioning of supported PACS systems
- Direct multiple medium-to-large scale projects, including costs, timelines, efforts and results.
- Ensure all reported technical issues or problems are appropriately prioritized and resolved based on severity, and communicate status updates to appropriate end users and management
- Provide oversight on technical issues to ensure timely resolution in order to maintain customer satisfaction, eliminate downtime, and prevent cost overruns
- Provide direction for documentation of Imaging Services assets and perform routine audits to ensure accurate accounting of inventory
- Review imaging services operations reports as appropriate or directed
- Partners with the imaging services team, systems support, engineering and QA departments to create training, documentation, and implementation plans for product upgrades
- Develop operating standards, policies, and procedures for the image management process, including application and protocol development and standardization
- Work with Information Security and Imaging Services support teams to ensure an accurate catalog of users and appropriate security access (at an application level) is granted ensuring HIPPA compliance
(25%) Team Member Management
- Initiate and participate in team member development, including coaching, performance evaluations, career pathing, and disciplinary action
- Actively participate in the hiring and training of new team members
- Lead regular team meetings and team member one-on-ones
(20%) Market Support
- Communicate risks and concerns to the Executive Leadership team.
- Work with operations managers and division leadership to develop and refine image workflow providing radiologists with the most efficient workflow in the outpatient imaging industry
- Assess new products and changes in imaging technology to make recommendations on clinical imaging applications and systems
- Develop proposals to solve specific image operational problems, working closely with operations managers and division heads as well as involving the next level of administration as appropriate

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field, or the equivalent in applicable and relevant experience in IT healthcare
- Fifteen (15) years' experience in information technology, PACS administration and/or imaging services and/or radiology operations
- Seven (7) years' experience in direct managing/supervising others
- Experience with PACS and teleradiology processes and equipment
- Experience with RIS and PACS system integration projects, implementations and operational processes
- Well versed in information technology, with an emphasis in PACS administration
- Must have, and maintain, a valid driver's license and proof of current motor vehicle insurance
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Radiology Technologist background
- Clinical Radiology/Operations Experience
- CIIP Certification
- Certified Radiology Administrator
