JOB OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, the Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the sales trade and volume forecasting process within the Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system. This role works closely with Field Sales, Revenue Growth Management, and cross-functional teams-including Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance-to ensure customer promotion plans are accurate and align with business objectives, pricing strategies, and budget guidelines.
Using multiple data sources, the analyst provides actionable insights and reporting to drive sales performance and meet internal reporting requirements. Additionally, this role supports key sales planning activities such as financial re-forecasting, annual operating plan updates, new item execution, and ad hoc reporting to help optimize trade budget and volume goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supports Sales in accurately forecasting volume and trade spend in the Trade Promotion Management system (TPM) across Blue Diamonds Growers Brand Portfolio.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in trade fund management. Works extensively with TPM software to ensure trade promotional activities are optimized, tracked, and within budget.
- Conducts analysis by consolidating data from internal data sets and customer portals to provide actionable insights that drive planning optimization and process continuous improvement.
- Supports Revenue Growth Management activities by providing post-promotional analysis to ensure activities are efficient and profitable.
- Provides scheduled and ad hoc reporting for the organization and external stakeholders.
- Works closely with Finance to support FP&A work, including development and modifications to the annual operating plan and latest estimates.
- Partners with Supply Chain and Customer Fulfillment to execute the demand plan, address operational issues, and deliver high-quality service to customers.
- Lead monthly TPM review with Sales Team to identify and action required changes/communications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1-3 years of experience in business analytics, sales operations, and/or sales forecasting.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to concisely analyze data and translate into actionable insights and learnings.
- Experience in volume, trade, and/or FP&A planning.
- Strong business acumen.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Macros, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and PowerPoint).
- Required to travel up to 10% of the time.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience.
- Strong financial aptitude, budgeting ability, and forecasting experience.
- Background in Sales and Sales-related technology.
- Aptitude with Business Intelligence and data visualization tools such as PowerBI and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Experience with syndicated sales data software (i.e., IRI or Nielsen).
- Knowledge of merchandising, retail experience, and logistical flow.
- Basic knowledge of deductions management and accruals.
- Strong communicator with the ability to develop remote relationships.
- Experience with secondary placement of display/merchandising promotions
