Therapist - Inpatient

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital offering psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

Our specialized treatment services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of highly trained psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, addiction counselors, nurses, and activity therapists.

The Ridge Behavioral Health System prides itself as being the only free-standing psychiatric hospital in the Central Kentucky area. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for over 39 years.

The Inpatient Therapist provides therapeutic group and family treatment to adolescent patients with mental health and/ or substance abuse diagnoses in Fayette County Schools.
Coordinates their treatment through treatment planning, the treatment team process, and utilization review. Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as applicable to role and responsibilities.

This opportunity is full-time at 36 hours per week, offers full benefits and an opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic group and family treatment to patients with mental and substance abuse diagnosis.
  • Coordinate treatment through treatment planning, the treatment team process, and utilization and review.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments.
  • Assess, develop, and implement groups to enhance treatment of patients.

EDUCATION:

  • Required: Master's degree in social work or other mental health field required.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Certification or licensure in social work or mental health field required, e.g., LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, etc.
  • Crisis intervention training is required and is offered upon hire.
  • CPR is required and offered upon hire.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Required: One to two years of mental health experience required.
