Description & Requirements
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with full-stack expertise and experience in artificial intelligence to join our newly formed Internal Innovation Team. This team drives strategic transformation by creating high-impact tools and solutions that enhance how our professionals collaborate, deliver services, and operate efficiently across accounting, assurance, and consulting functions.
This role involves rapid prototyping, experimentation, and delivery of cutting-edge systems and AI-powered applications that improve internal workflows, enable smarter decision-making, and elevate team performance. You'll help shape the future of how the firm works-developing scalable, intelligent, and modern solutions that support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you will do:
  • Design and build proof-of-concepts (POCs) to address internal challenges, iterating toward MVPs using user feedback
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to lead technical strategy and architecture decisions across innovation projects
  • Apply top-tier engineering practices: write clean code, perform rigorous testing, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and ensure complete documentation
  • Research emerging technologies, frameworks, and patterns, developing business cases for their adoption
  • Contribute across the stack-DBs, APIs, UI/UX-primarily within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Participate in ideation, demos, and feedback sessions with stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, quality, and collaboration on the Innovation Team
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5-9 years of industry experience in software development
Technical Proficiencies
  • Core engineering principles: architecture, design patterns, secure coding, TDD, API design
  • Languages/Frameworks: Deep expertise in Microsoft technologies; openness to learning new tools
  • DevOps/CI-CD: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, monitoring, and logging
  • Scalable cloud practices for infrastructure cost optimization and performance
  • Testing tools: NUnit, Playwright, Postman, mocking libraries
  • Collaboration tools: Confluence/Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Balsamiq
AI Experience
  • Machine Learning: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure ML
  • NLP: Text analysis, sentiment analysis, language generation
  • Computer Vision: Image/video analysis using popular libraries
  • Model deployment: Production-ready AI with scalability and reliability
  • Integration: AI within Microsoft environments (e.g., CoPilot Studio, Azure services)
  • Algorithm design and optimization
  • Cross-functional collaboration to embed AI into firm workflows
  • Rapid prototyping and iteration of early-stage products
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10 years or more of software engineering experience
  • Certifications demonstrating technical proficiency and domain alignment
  • Strong architecture instincts focused on modularity, scalability, and tradeoffs
  • Product mindset: focus on real-world impact and value delivery
  • Collaborative, knowledge-sharing approach
  • Agile or hybrid project experience
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
