Description & Requirements
The Forvis Mazars' audit team provides assurance services that go beyond the compliance function. Alongside the rest of our team, you will bring credibility to our client's financial picture, communicate information objectively and clearly, and provide insight to help clients improve their organizations. How you will contribute:
  • Managing, developing, and coaching professional staff
  • Reviewing audit engagement procedures over various income statement and balance sheet accounts
  • Adequately identifying audit risks and problems through review to ensure audit engagements are completed with defendable files and documentation
  • Understanding client service relationships and how to utilize firm resources to provide unmatched client service to existing clients
  • Using technology tools proficiently in regular assignments and demonstrating a commitment to improving work processes through the use of technology
  • Demonstrating the ability to recognize problems and propose sensible solutions, with an appropriate balance between client needs and the firm's risk
  • Consistently identifying engagement and operating opportunities for improvement and providing timely solutions and consultation
  • Managing multiple concurrent engagements without disruption and within scheduled deadlines
  • Providing staff with timely performance feedback
  • Managing multiple client relationships, billings, and resource needs
  • Building personal referral sources and clientele while actively participating in team marketing opportunities
  • Leading audit committee and board meeting presentations
  • Participating in speaking and article-writing opportunities
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:
  • An aptitude to recruit and develop firm associates and team members and provide training and coaching to other professionals
  • Team and engagement management skills
  • Innovative ideas for servicing clientele
  • Written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate to people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels
  • An ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment to reach clear-set goals
  • Ability to maintain professional client and referral source relationships
  • Ability to travel to serve clients
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 9 years or more of relevant audit experience
  • CPA License
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with healthcare provider organizations
  • Experience with both not-for-profit and governmental GAAP
  • Single audit experience
