Purpose: Responsible for overseeing laws and regulations relating to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control, (OFAC), Combating Finance of Terrorism (CFT), and Customer Identification Program (CIP). Assist Security Officer with physical security operations, fraud, risk management, and training. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Risk Assessment and Reporting:
- Develop and create management reports regarding security, BSA, AML, OFAC, CFT, CIP and suspicious activity reporting (SAR). Submit SARs timely to Fin Cen. Maintain records of fraud investigations and government inquires. Work with law enforcement agencies as necessary to report illegal activity, or to respond to inquiries regarding suspicious activity reported. Back up Security officer on physical security systems. Assist with credit bureau disputes (E Oscar) and other tasks as requested. Take lead in preparation for BSA audits and regulatory examinations. Identify, assess, and recommend risk mitigation techniques. Monitor risks from a strategic, financial, operational and external perspective. Prepare for and participate in regulatory or external exams and audits pertinent to this position.
Systems:
- Oversee BSA, AML, OFAC, CFT, CIP and SAR monitoring system usage and manage vendor relationships. Work with core processor regarding monitoring systems and reports. Review transaction activity reports for trends and unusual circumstances that may indicate possible check kiting, money laundering or other illegal or improper activities.
Training: Provide banker training on BSA, AML, OFAC, CFT, CIP, SAR and identity theft. Teamwork:
- Work as a team to complete assignments, assist Security Officer and provide backup when the Security officer and Compliance Security Specialist are absent or unavailable. Participate in training activities to develop consistency in knowledge/competency across departments. Provide high levels of service to our internal colleagues with the understanding that our levels of internal service directly impacts the service we provide our external customers.

- Actively participate and represent the Bank in various industry, educational and community organizations. Participate in community events.
Qualifications (Include Education and Experience):
- Bachelors or equivalent. Minimum 5 years banking experience. Knowledge of banking and BSA, AML, OFAC, CFT laws and regulations preferred. Well organized and detail oriented. Able to exercise judgment and analyze facts in order to make recommendations. Persistence and follow through. Good communication skills, verbal and written.
