The Clinical Pharmacist Staff ensures safe, appropriate, and economical use of drugs through the application of specialized skills and knowledge in pediatric patient care. This team member is part of the Critical Care Competency Group. As a member of this group, the pharmacist will have the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams caring for our critical care population. Coverage areas include neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, cardiac intensive care, emergency department, cardiac transplant, labor & delivery, and the operating room. This pharmacist will serve as the medication expert on the multidisciplinary team, review and verify orders, perform therapeutic drug monitoring, participate in code response, answer drug information questions, and more. With four (4) PGY1 residents, four (4) PGY2 residents, and ~25 pharmacy interns precepting opportunities are readily available. The Department of Pharmacy provides comprehensive clinical services to patients at Children's Hospital Colorado. We have organized clinical pharmacy services that complement the team approach to providing care. Our clinical pediatric pharmacists are available 24 hours a day and help ensure the safe and effective use of medication in children - as well as promote health, wellness and disease prevention. Our specially-trained pharmacists work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the best medication regimen and monitoring plan for the pediatric patient. Clinical pharmacy services are integrated into virtually all inpatient care units as designated pharmacists round with the medical teams. Through this direct involvement, pharmacists are empowered to assist in a great deal of therapeutic decision making and therapeutic drug monitoring activities. Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $121,394.93 to $182,092.39 Benefits Information Here, you matter.
