Here's what you will do:

  • Execute the Core Process on all threat management programs on assigned segments of the Enbridge GTM system.
  • Conduct pipeline integrity assessment and analysis for pipeline integrity threat management programs related to the Enbridge GTM system, including Corrosion, Crack, Deformation Threat Management and Threat Integration and conduct and support data analyses supporting of the integrity programs, including analysis of In-Line Inspection, Direct Assessment, Hydrotesting and Nondestructive Examination (NDE) field results.
  • Support the implementation of the overall integrity management processes, support data integration and records management activities (digs, ILI, QA/QA) relating to core functions, and support the completion of validation and quality assurance of In-Line Inspection run reports and range direct assessment reports.
  • Ensure the continued compliance of integrity management processes with U.S. and Canadian regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in regulatory audits as required.
  • Lead focus projects related to assigned lines such as pressure restriction removal, audits, failure investigation, engineering assessments, etc., provide a weekly status report summarizing activities and support the enhancement/update of integrity management processes.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Lead and review and approve threat programs as assigned, mentor and support stakeholders outside of PI Planning on integrity matters, mentor and support PI Planning Engineers and support Pipeline Integrity Engineering as assigned.
  • Provide broad and/or deep senior technical expertise and/or to coordinate the work of a small team.
  • Work independently on complex technical issues and make significant design or standard practice deviations based on depth and breadth of knowledge.
  • Demonstrate broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems, project management, identifying opportunities and has a keen awareness of interrelationships with other stakeholders.
  • Make responsible decisions not usually subject to technical review.

Who you are:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or closely related field.
  • Must have seven (7) years of experience as a Corrosion Engineer, Integrity Engineer, Reliability Engineer, or a closely related position.
  • The seven years of experience must have included assessing pipeline integrity based on EMAT ILI data; evaluating EMAT (Electro-Magnetic Acoustic Transducer) ILI (In-Line Inspection) tool performance; analyzing Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) field and ILI data; developing and supporting complex SCC excavation programs; identifying additional SCC preventive and mitigative measures; and estimating Failure Pressure Ratio (FPR) of elliptical cracks using CorLAS or other applicable models.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
