In this role, you will work as a strategic consultant to FedEx business domains, serving as a subject matter expert, providing thought leadership and pushing business leaders to identify out-of-the-box opportunities that drive progress within the P&L. You will play a vital role in defining and advancing the organization's strategies and initiatives to deliver value, ensuring that the right level of rigor and visibility is provided for desired outcomes. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to brainstorm solutions and influence business decisions using a fact-based approach, take new ideas from concept to execution, and communicate with key stakeholders.

Essential Functions

About the Role - The Operations Strategy Consultant, Advisor is a visionary leader and trusted thought-partner, driving transformational initiatives across diverse business domains. This role spearheads the identification and execution of innovative opportunities to advance strategic objectives and maximize value delivery across the full initiative life cycle. Acting as a key liaison among cross-functional teams, the advisor fosters collaboration, ensures adherence to best-in-class program management standards, and delivers insightful reporting and presentations on program progress. With a sharp focus on strategy and execution, this position is instrumental in shaping organizational success and long-term growth.

  • In-depth knowledge and ability to provide subject matter expertise on FedEx operational networks and/or business functions. Specific areas are Airline, Service Excellence, Commercial, Global Clearance, Transformation.
  • Strategic Program Leadership - Oversees large-scale initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving transformational impact.
  • Risk Management & Problem Resolution - Identifies potential challenges, proactively mitigates risks, and escalates critical issues when necessary.
  • Program Planning & Execution - Develops and implements comprehensive program plans, defining goals, objectives, and success metrics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Team Collaboration - Builds strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
  • Change Management & Organizational Adoption - Leads efforts to drive adoption of new processes, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability.
  • Financial Oversight & Value Optimization - Evaluates program investments, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing strategic value delivery.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Reporting - Creates actionable reporting and executive presentations, offering visibility into program progress, risks, and successes.
  • Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement - Establishes KPIs, tracks progress, and drives ongoing enhancements for sustained success.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline.

Minimum Experience

Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in business operations, transportation, logistics, or related fields, with leadership experience.

Domicile Information

This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States within Central and Eastern time zones. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $7,094.23/month - $12,533.14/month
