CABLES Program Coordinator

***This position requires an active Secret clearance.***

As a Program Coordinator for the "Promoting Connectivity and Security in Commercial Undersea Cable Systems" (CABLES) program, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission. As a CABLES Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support and coordination of program management for the CABLES program. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of capacity building programs, budgeting, reporting, and overall program coordination

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for CABLES Program Coordinator: $90K-DOE

Pay commensurate with experience.

CABLES Program Coordinator Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate funding to support program implementation of capacity building programs including planning, budgeting, implementation, and audit for the CABLES program and other programs and initiatives, as needed.
  • Work with CABLES grants management team to ensure all reporting requirements are met.
  • Support grants management team and implementation partners in implementing developed content, ensuring that program implementation can adapt to changing circumstances. Ensures these changes are communicated appropriately to all interested parties. Regularly convenes the interagency working groups to share progress and obtain feedback.
  • Support the identification and resolution of issues or problems in programming, preferably before implementation. Communicates any issues or problems immediately to EAP to ensure their comprehensive resolution.
  • Communicate regularly with personnel providing logistics support services on programming, to be determined by EAP on an ongoing basis.
  • Collect information on projects in targeted countries, analyze project viability, and development and strategic impact, and create a decision making process that posts, in coordination with Washington, can use to implement Indo-Pacific projects.
  • Regularly monitor how implementing partners' content is created, organized, and named to ensure compliance with U.S. government standards. Uses that information to collect and report to EAP on indicators of success, collaborating closely with the interagency, and other offices as appropriate.
  • Support program and initiative evaluations at specific intervals, determined by EAP, to verify achievement of program requirements. Collaborate closely with the EAP Bureau Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to design evaluations and to manage and report evaluation results.
  • Collaborate with appropriate offices in the State Department to help develop, design, and perform needs assessments to ensure program content achieves broad policy objectives and supports key policy and resources decisions within the EAP Front Office and among senior Department policymaking officials.
  • Collect data on programs as needed from implementing partners, posts, participants, member country governments and the interagency.
  • Collaborate with EAP SCA press shops and Posts' PAS to support the amplification of key messages related to multilateral programs via both traditional and social media. This includes the development of informational and promotional materials such as web sites, resource guides, audiovisual documentation, and other materials.
  • Travel to the Indo-Pacific region, as required.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

CABLES Program Coordinator Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Requires SECRET Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution (or equivalent)
  • At least two years of experience in coordination of foreign assistance programs, interagency coordination, multitasking complex project and processes, government management policies and procedures, government accounting and reporting, and contracting and procurement, requiring interpersonal and customer services, writing, analytic, problem-solving, and computer skills (or equivalent).
  • Requires domestic and international travel as needed.
  • Ability to support in the design of program goals, objectives, outputs, and performance measurement systems, including results frameworks, providing inputs into monitoring and evaluation planning and reporting.
  • Ability to support implementation of multilateral diplomacy development and policy-focused programs.
  • Ability to coordinate with interagency partners and manage complex systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with a diverse range of stakeholders including but not limited to other Department Bureaus, other U.S. agencies, Embassies, USAID Missions in the region, Congress, and other partners.
  • Ability to work with EAP and SCA colleagues to design and update social and traditional media messaging in support of the Department's Indo-Pacific Strategy.
