Job Summary: The candidate for this position must desire to work and grow within the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) field. The EHS Supervisor will be responsible for both Safety and Environmental compliance with supervision from the General Manager and EHS Director. This position is responsible for all aspects of the EHS program as well as continuous improvement projects to ensure TTM excels in this realm.

The position reports to the site EHS Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Along with the EHS Manager, The EHS Supervisor will be expected to:

  • Analyze safety metrics to identify trends and establish improvement projects and procedures to reduce future risk.
  • Utilize the Safety Observation Report (SOR) system to ensure employee concerns are addressed and to help identify trends requiring attention.
  • Manage employee injuries within the Worker's Compensation system to ensure injured employees are supervised through the process and return to their work assignment
  • Schedule and conduct Industrial hygiene monitoring and recordkeeping
  • Use TTM's EHS "ProcessMap" system to ensure incidents are managed to closure, corrective actions are effective and remain on schedule and all notifications are detailed and followed to closure.
  • Manage the safety committee and first aid teams
  • Review capital projects to ensure Corporate EHS concerns are being addressed.
  • Manage the fire protection systems by working with contractors to schedule testing and repairs
  • Work with production to be proactive with any design/process changes that will have an EHS impact.
  • Develop and conduct monthly EHS training sessions
  • Facilitate and attend meetings, communicate regularly with managers and supervisors, suggest and compose procedural changes.
  • Work on divisional environmental programs, including hazardous waste, air emissions, TRI, Tier II, Waste Water Treatment (WWT) reporting and chemical management programs to ensure full compliance.
  • Assist in the management of wastes and reclaim streams to ensure proper handling and disposition.
  • Assist in conducting EHS site evaluations in conjunction with 3rd party environmental consultants to develop efficient site compliance strategies
  • Work with consultants to complete permitting packages and work with State & Local governments to secure permits required by the facilities in the region.
  • Manage the (WWT) employees including daily operations, recordkeeping and PTO schedules
  • Identify potential best practices in WWT and implement them.
  • Become fluent in the ISO14001 Environmental Management System

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must possess good interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook (email)
  • Available for calls from off-shift supervisors after office hours
  • Read and understand specifications and procedures
  • Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.

Education and Experience:

  • A Degree in a related field preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • First Aid response & OSHA training a plus

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
