About this role Furey Filter and Pump is looking for a Manual Machinist to join our team in Germantown, WI! As a Manual Machinist you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. What You'll Do: Fabricate, erect, install, and maintain shop machinery Calculate dimensions and tolerance using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and veneer calipers Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, machines, and materials onto machines Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on shop equipment What You'll Need: High school diploma or GED required; Technical diploma in related area of study, such as Precision Machining, preferred 4 years of manual machining experience Experience using precision measuring tools and equipment Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to published guidelines Ability to interpret technical manuals Perks of Working with OTC Industrial Technologies: Health and Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision care coverage Short- and long-term disability coverage, and life insurance Wellness discount Safety shoes & glasses reimbursement stipend Financial Benefits: 401(k) savings plan with an employer match of 50% on the dollar up to 6% Robust referral bonuses Relocation assistance Work-Life Balance: PTO Tuition assistance Who we are: Furey Filter & Pump manufactures, distributes and services pumps and filtration products and systems.
