Summary: The Branch/Data Analyst is responsible for providing professional expertise in support of the program statistics resilience branch for the NGB Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets related to substance abuse and suicide prevention.
- Develop statistical models to identify trends and patterns within program data.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support program decision-making.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on program statistics and outcomes.
- Maintain and update databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Support the resilience branch with statistical expertise and analysis.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven strategies for program improvement.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in statistical software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or Statistics.
- Minimum 5 years of national level practical experience in data analysis.
- Experience in data visualization and presentation.
- Ability to pass a background check and eligible to obtain a Contractor Common Access Card (CAC).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in substance abuse and suicide prevention programs.
- Familiarity with resilience training and related statistical analysis.
- Advanced certifications or training in data analysis or related fields.
