The Business Engagement Specialist's main responsibility is to ensure that the technology solutions provided by TIS align with the business needs and objectives. By encouraging good communication and collaboration, this role helps to bridge the gap between technology and business, ensuring that the Technology and Information Services (TIS) can deliver value through innovative solutions and technological advancements.

What You Will Do:

  • Represent and champion the TIS vision and strategic priorities to all supported business functions. Serve as the key interface between the TIS department and the various business functions within GTM.

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and assess their potential to improve the competitiveness of the assigned system and business unit.

  • Develop strategic roadmaps that connect business capabilities with TIS delivery or improvement of projects, services, and innovation.

  • Collaborate with business functions and Enterprise Architecture to develop required technology business cases.

  • Prioritize and advocate for the business area's project portfolio at the enterprise level. Lead and mentor junior team members.

  • Build and sustain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and the organization at the appropriate levels.

  • Understand and ensure the strategic and tactical direction of the business and TIS are aligned.

  • Ensure the execution of the work with all the vital TIS stakeholders to ensure it is implemented optimally, meeting business objectives and delivering value.

  • Collaborate to understand business needs, capture feedback for continuous improvement and customer service, and act as the main contact for project updates and critical issues.

Who You Are:

  • You possess a university degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or equivalent.

  • You have at least ten years of related business or IT experience. Combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Great interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Advanced presentation and visualization skills.

  • Ability to excel at planning, designing roadmaps, and aligning business needs with IT.

  • Sophisticated critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering products that meet customer and user needs.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, prioritize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, coordinate and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
