Responsibilities
Job Description: Iron EagleX is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to support the deployment of our products to government customer environments and ensure our security posture meets requirements while maintain the ongoing availability, performance and security of our applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and deployment automation while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative and secure applications. Job Duties Include (but not limited to):
Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
- Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs.
- Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
- Setting up tools and required infrastructure.
- Provides infrastructure and systems integration for DevOps environment.
- Designs and maintains roles and playbooks in development, test, and production environments to enforce system standardization and to maintain configuration management.
- Leads efforts to mitigate system obsolescence through migrations and upgrades.
- Creates and maintains system-lifecycle documentation.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with deploying containerized microservices in a Kubernetes infrastructure, with exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
- Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs.
- Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage.
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible.
- Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.
- Incidence management and root cause analysis.
- Coordination and communication within the team and with customers.
- Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools.
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline).
- Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs.
- Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer.
- Design, develop, build, and maintain Puppet, Docker, Gitlab, and JIRA servers.
- Spin up servers and Docker contained databases, as needed.
- Design and build server clusters with Elasticsearch.
- Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Education & Certifications:

Security Clearance:
- At least an active Secret clearance is required, TS/SCI is preferred.
