JOB MISSION:

New Balance is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Global Ecommerce, sitting on our Global Direct to Consumer Team. This individual is responsible for delivering our commercial and consumer experience goals across newbalance.com globally.

Our Global Ecommerce business is growing aggressively - we've doubled revenue in the last five years and are looking to do it again over the next five years. At the same time, we are also elevating our Global Brand Standards and our site experiences to meet the evolving needs of our Global Independent consumer. We need a Global Leader to drive this change and achieve our aggressive business goals. This role is based at New Balance headquarters in the Boston area.

This individual will work closely with the following Global Partners:

  • Digital Product Team
  • Site Merchandising
  • Global Marketing

They will also collaborate closely with our five Regional Ecommerce Leaders and their respective teams - NA, EMEA, APAC, Japan and China.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

This individual will achieve these ambitious goals by leading our Global Ecommerce Business Operations and Site Operations Teams.

Business Operations - This team delivers the commercial goals of newbalance.com globally by leading strategic planning, global coordination and data analytics for the channel.

  • Strategic Planning - Define short term and long term priorities for the channel - aligned to New Balance's Long Range Plan and Brand priorities. All strategies should be grounded in site data, consumer insights and industry trends.
  • Global Coordination & Communication - Create a highly coordinated and curated collaboration model with our regional teams to identify and action business opportunities in real-time.
  • Data & Analytics - Develop automated dashboards and conduct deep analyses on site and business performance. Leverage financial packages, PowerBI, Google Analytics and other platform-specific reporting tools.

Site Operations - This team drives the drives the execution of our brand led Ecomm strategies, maximizes the usage of our global tech stack and ensures quality execution of ecommerce fundamentals.

  • Execution of Brand Led Ecomm Strategies - Partner with Site Merchandising and Digital Product to create site playbooks. Work across all five regional operations teams to drive these strategies through to go-live across all 30 instances of newbalance.com.
  • Maximize Usage of Global Tech Stack - Partner with Digital Product team and vendor partners (ex: Salesforce) to ensure we are utilizing our existing technology to its full potential. Create case studies, A/B tests and best-practice sharing across regions.
  • Quality Execution of Fundamentals - Constantly optimize ecommerce processes and ways of working across business and technology teams to enhance operational efficiency and our consumer experience.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 10-15 years of experience in ecommerce strategy and operations
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and proficiency in data analytics tools like PowerBI
  • Excellent communication, collaboration abilities, and experience in a global environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for digital transformation and consumer experience
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
  • An ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, often ambiguous environment
  • Comfortable digging into monthly financial statements and analyzing financial data

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
