Learning and Development Specialist

Position Summary

Seeking a new career challenge? Then Woolpert is seeking you! Woolpert is hiring a Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Learning & Talent Management and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge. Qualified candidates will be passionate about employee development and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Priority will be given to candidates who have experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.

Essential Functions

As an L&D Specialist at Woolpert, you will:
• Design, develop, and deliver training programs and workshops.
• Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and consultations with managers.
• Create engaging learning materials and activities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and track employee progress.
• Create and deliver presentations on analyses, designs, and implementation plans to gain stakeholder approval and buy-in.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in learning and development.

Minimum Requirements

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in learning and development or instructional design.
• Licenses/Certifications: Certification in instructional design or a related field is preferred.
• Software: Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning software. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
