Job Overview


The Foods Corporate Operations Senior Manager provides support and training for all aspects of restaurant technology and back-office solutions. The position will ensure all restaurants operate optimally, by maintaining, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for all aspects of technology used in food locations. Training and ensuring back-office solution Toolbox is used as designed to provide accurate and timely financial reporting. Work closely with unit managers, provide in-person and online training and guidance on restaurant operations.
Essential Functions




  • Configure and maintain Micros Simphony POS System including item setup, promotions, discounts, price optimization, employee database, and printer settings.
  • Configure and maintain Food's Back Office Program - Purchasing, recipes and costing, invoicing, inventory, and financial tools.
  • Train Restaurant managers on use of POS and Back Office Tools, using a combination of Online Tools and On-Site Training.
  • Provide customized reports as requested to Foods, Finance, and Loss Prevention teams.
  • Schedule and Facilitate monthly P&L reviews to be completed within 10 days of period end close.
  • Coordinate with RPS (Register Processing System) team to ensure daily sales feed is delivered accurately and on time.
  • Review and finalize restaurant end-of-period financial priorities, inventory counts, transfers, profit, and loss statements.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure third party deposit accounts (Uber Eats/Door Dash/Goldbelly) are in balance and income is reflected on operation's profit and loss statement.
  • Partner with Macy's team to procure and catalogue all business licenses, ensuring accuracy and database maintenance.
  • Act as Liaison between Restaurant Division and Macy's Technology for all business needs.
  • Coordinate with MTECH smooth, predictable, and timely delivery of software releases, hardware deployment, patches, and upgrades.
  • Product manager for MTECH User Acceptance Testing pertaining to Bloomingdale's Food Division platforms and initiative.
  • Provide telephone and on-line support for all tech hardware in restaurants - POS, menu displays, kitchen printers, Ithaca, laptops.
  • Coordinate and ensure break/fix issues are addressed and resolved by NCR.
  • Procurement - coordinate relationships with new vendors, account setup, purchasing implementation, streamline supply chain.
  • Expense Payables - account and invoice management, payment status, work with finance to identify and correct payment issues.
  • Monitors and takes corrective action of daily invoice feed to Oracle.
  • Project Manager for restaurant initiatives, operational and technology.
  • Review team's corporate card transactions, manage capital procurement for projects.
  • Partner with Finance and capital control for capital expense requests and tracking.
  • Secure required documentation for new liquor license applications and track renewals of existing licenses.
  • Monitor and communicate interim expense plan deviations to the Head of Restaurants.
  • Work with Staffing and maintaining staffing plans as it relates to prep, ownership and OTH's.
  • Coordinate and partner with the Colada Shop Group to ensure organized and successful business operations for the Colada Shop Restaurant.

Competencies




  • Preferred College degree and previous hospitality/multi-unit food service supervisory/management experience.
  • Safe food handling certification is required.
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
  • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Understanding of P&L statements, food costs and payroll budgets.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to anticipate and solve problems.

Physical Requirements




  • Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching and climbing ladders.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs.
