We're actively seeking a talented Investment Data Analyst to join our Pacific Life Investments (PLI) in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site or hybrid. You'll work at our state-of-the-art Newport Beach headquarters.

As an Investment Data Analyst, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by establishing investment data frameworks, ensuring data accuracy and participating in the execution of data governance processes for the company's investment data. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 2 people in the Corporate division.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Work closely with the Investment Data Steward in assisting with decision-making authority for investment data use and practice across PLI
  • Have a solid understanding of investment data workflows, downstream effects and systems involved (Bloomberg and S&P), and are able to identify opportunities for leveraging data to assist investment decision-making and improve overall efficiency
  • Have a reasonable understanding of all existing asset classes and ensure they are reflected accurately in various systems
  • Understand overall PLI's investment data needs and work with the Investment Data Steward to help gather requirements and prioritize PLI business needs
  • Working with the Investment Data Steward in assisting with the escalation for investment data matters, resolving data quality issues and attesting to effective data management

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or Data Science
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience working with investment data and corresponding systems
  • Basic knowledge of asset characteristics and financial markets

What makes you stand out:

  • Experience working with Bloomberg and S&P data
  • Familiarity with Business Objects, Power BI, SQL
  • Prior insurance company experience, preferably in investment operations or accounting capacity
  • Thorough, attention to detail, proactive, persistent, good listener, good problem solver
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$100,530.00 - $122,870.00
