We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to join our Environment & Facility Services team in Hartford, CT. This role offers the opportunity to support a diverse group of engineers and scientists on impactful environmental projects across southern New England.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support environmental assessment and remediation projects, including:

    • Groundwater monitoring
    • Soil sampling
    • Construction oversight
    • Report preparation (Phase I, II & III Environmental Site Assessments)


  • Assist in the development and implementation of environmental compliance programs, such as:

    • Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)
    • Air, waste, and wastewater permitting
    • Tier II chemical inventory reporting


  • Conduct data analysis and prepare technical documentation
  • Participate in field work and site investigations as needed


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field (required)
  • 0-5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in a related field (preferred)
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with GIS and/or AutoCAD (preferred)
  • Ability to travel throughout New England 75% of the work week
