We are seeking a Construction Inspector for water / wastewater and other municipal construction inspection projects. This position will be in our Panama City, FL office.

Duties will include but may not be limited to:



  • Reviewing reports, directing duties, and training of all project inspectors
  • Travelling to various project sites to conduct inspection and testing duties
  • Following standard procedures and specifications for documentation and inspection of construction activities
  • Reading, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with construction plans, specifications, and contracts
  • Daily calculating, reporting, documenting, and communicating verbally and in writing
  • Computing quantities for items such as concrete, asphalt, steel, earthwork, drainage structures, and traffic control devices
  • Operating company vehicle, computer, and testing equipment
  • Coordinating construction progress and issues with engineers, contractors, utilities, and government officials
  • Documenting field changes and as-built plans
  • Assisting project engineer with progress payments, diaries, and material test reports
  • Working in an office or outdoor environment in varying weather conditions as required by project type



We invite applications from candidates with the following qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in construction or construction inspection, one (1) of which is preferred in water/wastewater, municipal, or roadway and/or bridge construction.
  • Must have valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain the following certifications as required by the projects scope of work. Qualifications/certifications for this position may be obtained within six (6) months from the date of hire:

    • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
    • FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
    • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
    • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
    • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II


  • Or a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from anaccredited institution and ability to obtain the above qualifications in a reasonable amount of time.
