Northwell Optum Internship is an opportunity for Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors with a background in Finance or Business to work part-time with the organization and learn more about Revenue Cycle. This opportunity has the potential to transition to part-time or full-time positions that they may be suitable for when they have completed their education, if any are available.

Job Description

Assists in performing administrative staff work in support of research and review projects focusing on Hospital policies and procedures and department operations.

Job Responsibility



  • Participates in the collection and preparation of data relative to the work of the department.
  • Assists in studies to objectively ascertain the efficiency, economy and effectiveness of department or Hospital operations, policies and procedures.
  • Assists management in facilitating new programs and/or procedures.
  • Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.

Job Qualification



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Currently enrolled as an Undergraduate Junior or Senior, majoring in Finance or Business.
  • Any relevant experience they have with Finance or Business (analyst, clubs, etc), required.


Schedule and Location:

Part-time role, 16-20 hours/week. Hybrid (mostly remote days)

Duration: 1-full year

New Hyde Park, NY & Melville, NY
