Seller, Payments and Finance Analytics (SPF) is an analytics team committed to applying the techniques of data science and analytics to drive significant insights, including: - Understanding the nuances of seller and buyer behavior, with a focus on the myriad interactions with financial systems, payments, and marketplace services. - Building rich data sources of truth that interweave complex payments & finance data with other foundational user data from across the Etsy ecosystem - Finding and advocating for outstanding opportunities for Etsy's growth that move critical metrics *About The Role* Join as a Data Scientist to play an essential role on our Money Movement team. The Money Movement team is responsible for the flow of funds between buyers, sellers, etc. You'll lead analysis & insights to improve payments routing performance, drive experimentation with payment methods, help build essential data products, and guide the development of intelligent routing systems. As a squad lead, you'll work closely with product, engineering, and operations to unlock opportunities across the payments ecosystem. We're looking for experienced analysts & data scientists who can deep-dive data to solve complex problems, have a passion for democratizing insights, and can provide thought leadership to a cross-functional team. Collaborate with leaders across finance, payments, and technology to shape the future roadmap. If you're passionate about building products from 0-1 and making a significant impact, this role offers the perfect opportunity to support a rapidly evolving space and have a meaningful influence at the highest level. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Nice-to-Have - Have a deep understanding of payments processing, finance, or checkout product domains; marketplace or e-commerce experience is ideal - Experience or interest in anomaly detection, predictive analytics, causal inference - Interest in collaborating with engineers to create data models, improve data quality, and be a data steward *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
