The Assessment Team Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily operations of outpatient assessments. This position would ensure that services are in clinical and administrative compliance with contractual standards and OAR regulations, performance objectives, ethical standards, and best practices. In addition to general supervision duties, the Assessment Team Supervisor provides treatment services and oversees the training of our clinical interns.

Education, Training and Experience:

* Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II) certification is required.

* QMHA or above preferred.

* Meet OARs requirements as a clinical supervisor for substance abuse treatment.

* Experience supervising and/or training SUD counselors required.

* Demonstrated expertise in addictions treatment, particularly harm reduction.

* Experience with evidence-based treatment approaches including motivational interviewing, and other cognitive-based practices.

* Knowledge and experience with at-risk populations, adolescence developmental issues, criminal behavior, gang-impacted youth and family systems, and dual diagnosis;

* Experience and expertise working with persons involved in the criminal justice system.

* Knowledge of criminogenic risk factors, key competencies and best practices preferred.

Competencies:

* Knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multicultural and diverse socioeconomic situations.

* Mission-focused and passionate, with an emphasis on effective use of evidence-based practices.

* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

* Thorough knowledge and understanding of ASAM criteria and SUD levels of care.

* Ability to collaborate and problem solve within a cross functional environment.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and electronic health records (EHR's).

* Excellent organizational skills.

* Leadership and change management skills.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

* Ability to pass criminal background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Supervise clinical operations to assure compliance with OARs, contract requirements, billing, and best practices.

* Provide clinical supervision, scheduling, and support professional development for interns and clinicians working with the assessment team.

* Coordination, onboarding, and supervision of all outpatient interns.

* Attend weekly staffing and other meetings with partner organizations as needed.

* Build and retain a strong team.

* Work with Outpatient Director to establish target outcomes and implement strategies to meet outcomes.

* Provide supervision, support, and additional specialized training and conduct all hiring processes for assigned positions.

* Represent Outpatient programs within VOA and the community in a way that promotes mutually respectful, positive, and professional partnerships.

* Provide direct services including group facilitation and ASAM assessments.

Other Responsibilities:

* Other duties as assigned by the Outpatient Director.

Supervisory: Position is responsible for supervision of approximately 6 or more employees. Position is responsible for coordination and supervision of outpatient interns.

Environmental Conditions: Works in a professional treatment center. Must be prepared to handle client crises and/or emergencies. Requires local travel to attend meetings.
