For more information, visit nyit.edu. New York Institute of Technology seeks a Purchasing Specialist located at the Old Westbury campus. Responsibilities Conduct sourcing for products as necessary and issue purchase orders for goods and services; conduct follow-up to resolve open purchase orders. Responsible for vendor data management, including issuing and reviewing pre-qualification forms and applications. Assist Senior Procurement Specialist(s), Manager, and Director with RFP development and process. Assist PCardholders by troubleshooting declined transactions; handle requests for limit changes. Assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and/or equivalent experience is preferred. Ability to assess and demonstrate working knowledge of common procurement principles, ethics, and standards with integrity and confidentiality. Good computer skills and knowledge required: Microsoft Office and Workday. Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team. Strong organizational skills is required. New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer. Minimum Salary USD $55,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary USD $60,000.00/Yr. |
