Carnegie Mellon University: Mellon College of Science: Biological Sciences Description The Bridges Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join our interdisciplinary research team. Our lab investigates the dynamic interactions between bacteria and their environments, with a focus on microbial signal transduction, biofilm formation, and spatial organization using cutting-edge experimental and computational approaches. This position is ideal for candidates with a Ph.D. and expertise in one or more of the following areas: Microbiology - microbial ecology, bacterial genetics, or host-microbe interactions. Microscopy - advanced imaging techniques, image analysis, or spatial biology. Computer Science - especially computer vision, machine learning, or bioinformatics applied to biological questions. Position Details: As a postdoctoral scholar in the Bridges Lab, you will: Develop and lead research projects aligned with the lab's interests in microbial systems and spatial biology. Work collaboratively with a diverse and multidisciplinary team of experimentalists and computational scientists. Have access to state-of-the-art imaging technologies and computational resources. Contribute to the development of novel analytical tools or experimental techniques. Present research findings at national and international conferences and prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication. |
