Job Title : Caregiver
Salary : 16-19.00/hou r
Shift : 1 st Shift, 6: 0 0am - 2: 0 0pm M-F / 2 nd Shift, 2:00pm - 10:00pm
Summar y : Responsible for meeting the needs of the residents and the resident's wellbeing.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Receive verbal shift report from off-going Caregiver and walk through the house with the off-going Caregiver to make sure everything was completed from the prior shift.
  • Read and follow residents ISP
  • Follow the Caregiver daily schedule posted in the house
  • Answer resident calls promptly
  • Compliance of resident right policy, company policies, procedures handbook and employee handbook
  • Assist residents with eating, if needed and remain in kitchen for duration of mealtime.
  • Pass medications as directed on the MARS
  • Count with off-going shift the narcotics (if in the house) and sign on every shift
  • Take garbage to curb prior to garbage day pick up
  • Assist residents with daily activities
  • Complete all state required documentation to meet the needs of the resident in the proper format
  • Report any emergencies, falls or change of condition to the on-call Manager and execute all required documentation as directed
  • Direct any concerns expressed by family members to Administrator
  • Demonstrate proper body mechanics and knowledge of adaptive equipment to transfer residents with assistance
  • Perform any required tasks assigned by Health Care Coordinator or Administrator
  • Complete all continuing education / training as scheduled
  • Remain in the house scheduled to work in for entirety of the shift, and until the next shift replacement arrives
  • Maintain proper levels of confidentiality
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • 18 year old
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent work history
  • Prior experience in caregiving / working with elderly patients preferred
  • Patient and Compassionate
  • Attention to detail
  • Fluent (verbal and written) in English
