Purpose of Position |
This position is to support the evaluation and admission of students applying to Northern Kentucky University, College of Health & Human Services, as well as the administrative support needs associated with onboarding new students to the college. The academic programs necessitating this hire are associated dominantly with the accelerated online programs which continue to experience dramatic growth for the college and new on campus programs being added to the academic portfolio. This position is critical to supporting the college infrastructure to meet the academic demands accompanying this growth.
This position is a vital component to making the College of Health & Human Services (
CHHS) operate efficiently and effectively. |
Primary Responsibilities |
Admissions Processing and Review for various programs in
CHHS
* Maintain departmental tracking spreadsheets in Excel (on shared K Drive) to determine number of applicants, progress in admission process, status of admission and compliance to departmental admission requirements. Close attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, confidentiality and the ability to prioritize are essential.
* Work closely with admissions team to assure all applications are processed in a timely manner and changes in admission procedures are clearly communicated.
* Communicate with students, faculty, advising, registrar's office, Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Office of Graduate Education on a regular basis via email and telephone calls.
Provide support to the RN>
BSN program as applicants are directly admitted into this program to assure they are meeting the grade requirement for all transfer credits.
Execute reports using Business Warehouse and
SAP for admissions reporting.
Provides training for any new staff on the Admissions Team.
Maintain
CHHS website as it relates to all admission and new student pages.
Assist leadership and faculty with special projects. |
Qualifications |
Associate's Degree and 2 years of professional experience required.
Requires proficiency in Business Warehouse,
SAP, Perceptive Content, Excel, Outlook and Word. Superior communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work cohesively with several departments across campus, Program Directors, faculty and management are a must.
