Description
Administrative Assistant I Penn United Technologies, Inc. is now accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant I to work as a member of our Carbide Operations team. In this position, you would work in a front desk administrative role at our fast-paced manufacturing facility in Saxonburg, PA. Responsibilities will include performing clerical support, filing, inventory order entry, greeting visitors and other responsibilities to support the team and ensure the smooth flow of work. - Greet and register visitors entering the building
- Perform a variety of clerical duties such as typing, copying & compiling data, maintaining & filing records and reports, and handling paperwork
- Assist in coordinating the proper flow of work and ensure that all necessary paperwork accompanies each job (order entry, work orders, blueprints, shipping data, etc.)
- Assist with tasks where requested and perform other related support duties as needed with shipping, inspecting, entering orders, etc.
- Track jobs from order entry to completion. Provide related control, follow-up and trouble-shooting
- Assist with inventory management and control
- Perform inventory order entry and contract review
- Ensure the proper handling of outgoing packaging slips, mail, invoices, bills, receipts, and other correspondence related to business activities
- Prepare and submit shipments to shipping department
- May prepare and submit purchase orders for suppliers
- May support other teams as requested
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong typing/ data entry skills
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet navigation and able to quickly learn and use required software effectively
- Able to follow directions and complete tasks
- Committed to team development, and exceptional customer service
- Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks
- Strong ability to professionally communicate using both verbal and written skills
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Prior administrative experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred
