Start Date 04/15/2025 Contract Home Office - Denton, TX Salary Range DOE Posting Date 04/09/2025 Union No FLSA Status Exempt Shift Work No FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible Job Summary: M1 Support Services Sr Manager Accounting and Compliance is responsible for overseeing financial reporting and accounting compliance across M1 Support Services in alignment with GAAP, Company governance, and Federal/State/local regulations. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Manage and support the successful implementation of financial reporting and accounting programs and procedures across M1 Support Services in accordance with Company governance documentation, GAAP and Federal/State/local laws. * Provides guidance/direction/hands-on support pertaining to the development, maintenance and execution of standard accounting principles, practices, procedures, and work instructions that foster an effective control environment. * Direct supervision of all accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, cash application, financial close and reporting. * Accurate and timely preparation of the monthly and annual Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows) for the company to include subsidiary and branch legal entities. * In conjunction with FP&A; supports monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis to include Annual Operation Plan, Forecast & Prior Periods versus Actuals; and EAC accounting treatment and reconciliation to the financials. * Represents M1 as the lead facilitator to complete the annual audit of the company's financial statements to include the VEBA and offshore legal entity audits. Supports ad hoc and other audits as required, such as the 401(k) plan audit and insurance company audits. * Manages the company's credit card program(s). * Directly interfaces with DCAA/DCMA and external auditors. Leads the M1 team to maintain an accounting and estimating system sufficient to pass DCAA audit per the FAR requirements. * Ensures compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Cost Accounting Standards. * Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relating to accounting and contract business operations. * Responsible for the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts in accordance with the company's governance documentation. * Responsible for the DCAA Incurred Cost Submission and audit. * Responsible for GAAP and FAR compliance, consisting of updating internal controls, policy and procedures, and government requests. Page 2 of 3 * Manages the company's Fixed Asset Ledger and related accounting entries. Works closely with the M1 Property Control resource to ensure that assets listed on the balance sheet have been inventoried at least once a year. * Assist with various company data requirements, such as, insurance policy renewal data requirements. * Assist with Treasury responsibilities, such as; covenant compliance, ACH/Wire transfers, user set-up, etc. * Completes all state and local tax and annual report filings. * Effectively manage the GL accountant(s) including annual reviews and meaningful goal setting. * Help and take responsibility for ad hoc requests. Qualifications and Experience: Basic Qualifications: * Minimum 8 years of accounting management/supervisory experience. * CPA and Government Contracting experience required. Knowledge of: * FAR, DFAR, DCMA regulations * SCA and Collective Bargaining Agreements Experience with: * JAMIS Classic/Prime * Deltek, CostPoint, SAP, or Oracle Education: * Bachelors in related field required * Master's degree preferred Strong understanding of: * Continuous improvement * Operational excellence in fast-paced environments Additional Skills: * High discretion with sensitive information * Able to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance (Preferred) * Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) * Excellent English communication skills * Reliable, self-motivated, calm under pressure Working Conditions: * Primarily office-based at M1's Home Office in Denton/Westlake, TX. * Professional setting with standard business hours (Monday-Friday). * Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines or support audits. * Physical Requirements: * Must be able to sit for extended periods and work at a computer. * Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., files, equipment).
