Job Description

Perform skilled work on an advanced journey level in the installation, repair, maintenance, and replace of pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and direct digital control (DDC) heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control systems.

Minimum Qualifications

Personnel in the Building Controls System Technician employee development program:
* This job is a promotional step from a Building Controls Systems Technician I, and requires successful completion of skills assessments and 1.5 years of experience as a Building Controls Systems Technician I.
All Personnel:
* Ability to read blueprints, plans, drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes.
* Skill in maintenance and use of tools, equipment and materials of applicable trade.
* Ability on a daily basis to:
- Grasp, lift, maneuver, rotate, and otherwise use small to large trade tools and equipment.
- Grasp, lift, carry, and set down heavy objects (50 lbs.).
- Grasp, turn, twist, pull, push, lift, and otherwise move equipment, controls, parts, etc.
- Visually assess maintenance, construction and repair needs.
- Climb and work from ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
* A valid State of Missouri Driver's License must be held and maintained by incumbents in the position.
* May be subject to afterhours call out for emergencies, including wearing a cell phone, pager or other communication device and being placed on standby as required

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $20.22-$26.94 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
