Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
In the Bryan School of Business & Economics, we create and disseminate knowledge about the theory and practice of business. In addition to our courses and research, we accomplish this through hands-on projects, global experiences, and outreach to the community. Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Marketing is responsible for driving new student enrollment, current student engagement and success, and brand/reputation building with key external constituents (employers, alumni, donors, and AACSB). Under the supervision of the Bryan School's Assistant Dean of External Affairs, the position will be responsible for leading the overall Bryan School marketing strategy, planning, and execution. The general areas of focus for this position will include paid advertising campaigns, social media and email marketing, signature publications, and event promotions. The Assistant Director of Marketing produces and leverages marketing performance metrics to inform and improve marketing strategy and tactics. The position oversees and contributes to creative development and content creation with a strong focus on writing. The Assistant Director of Marketing will be responsible for staff supervision, making recommendations and decisions on allocation of budgetary resources, and managing partnerships with university stakeholders and 3rd party vendors.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in marketing and communications
  • Excellent writing and editing abilities
  • Experience developing marketing plans including paid media campaigns
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in relevant field
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in marketing and communications
  • Ability to analyze and report on marketing performance metrics for paid and unpaid digital marketing efforts
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing tools
  • Experience with employee supervision/management
